June 13, 2008 Western Arkansas Storms
I chased a severe storm that
occasionally had rotation from just NW of Ozark to London (near Russellville).
The storm really took off as it passed NE of Ozark. I observed some rotation
just south of Clarksville and stronger rotation southeast of Clarksville and
then again north of Knoxville. All of the stronger rotation was short lived
(less than 5 minutes each) as the storm went quickly through several cycles.
The storm looked the best near Knoxville when a large lowering developing with
inflow bands feeding into it but within just a few minutes it completely fell
apart before a new center of circulation developed further east/southeast.
