Store Picture Portfolio Video Waterfalls/Nature My Waterfall Finds Meteors Storm Chasing Live Tracker About Me Home

June 13, 2008 Western Arkansas Storms

I chased a severe storm that occasionally had rotation from just NW of Ozark to London (near Russellville). The storm really took off as it passed NE of Ozark. I observed some rotation just south of Clarksville and stronger rotation southeast of Clarksville and then again north of Knoxville. All of the stronger rotation was short lived (less than 5 minutes each) as the storm went quickly through several cycles. The storm looked the best near Knoxville when a large lowering developing with inflow bands feeding into it but within just a few minutes it completely fell apart before a new center of circulation developed further east/southeast.

I haven't had a chance to post any new pictures/video from the last week as I have been busy with my job. For those who don't know I am working officially now at 40/29 TV as morning photographer/editor (going on my 4th week next week). I have worked at a television station in the past doing a similiar job and I am still a bit in shock at the level of professionalism and all around good vibe that exists at 40/29. My working there will allow to contribute even more of my pictures and video to them and you probably already have seen some recently. Here is some of the random pictures and video from the last 2 or 3 weeks that I haven't had a chance to post on here. Sometime next week I will try and get video up on here of me shooting a sniper rifle at the Sebastian County sniper training course they had earlier this week. I actually hit the T Zone or Kill zone on the target at 100yds!
