I revisited a waterfall I found back in December. Its located here: 35°39'31.40"N 93°40'55.17"W and is probably 50-55ft tall. A old trail goes from the main road to near the top and the hike from there to the waterfall isnt too bad though there are a few narrow ledges where you dont want to slip. There is a nice wide 20-25ft falls up top but I was so cold and wet I didnt even bother to take a picture. Before that I hiked down and up another drainage and found the bluff had landslided down the canyon so now falls but lots of little falls and cascades (see last picture in this sequence).

I hiked into a very difficult area today! There were numerous blufflines that were difficult to get through. After finding several waterfalls on drainages on the way down I eventually made my way to the main creek bed. I found a waterfall just down from where I came out that was pretty nice and then I headed up the creek. In just a few moments i came to the entrance to a spectacular canyon. There were lots of small falls and cascades and then I rounded a tight corner and came out at a wonderous spot with waterfalls everywhere! 3 were easily captured in one photo while 2 others were just out of frame above each drainage. I then started to hear thunder so I made a quick exit out. This was the lower portion of the area I wanted to check. There are at least two blufflines above this area on each drainage that should have some waterfalls but I will probably wait until fall/winter to explore further. The now thick forest made it difficult to find good hiking lines down through the area.
April 26, 2011 - Storm Chase. I chased 3 tornado warned storms along the Arkansas River valley area of Western Arkansas. I got into some golfball sized hail west of Russellville with the first storm before heading back west to intercept the other two storms. They didnt really ammount to much but I did manage to get this lightning from the last storm from London looking back towards Russellville.
April 28, 2011 - I explored a new area and found a couple of 20ft falls then hiked down do Little Bridge Falls. The other pic is of me a white oak falls from a few weeks back.
