February 19, 2008 Birds
along Lake Dardanelle south of Hartman, AR
These first 6 pictures are of the bald eagle famly that I have been watching for over a year. Its obvious how the eagles react when they already are incubating eggs. There was one eagle on the nest for all but about 15 seconds.
Here are the two babies from last year - June 3, 2007 and here are more pictures from March 24, 2007
Last year I kinda got sidetracked (mainly with storm chasing) but I hope to be able to be able to get pics/video of the eagles feeding thier babies and more (the eggs will probably hatch in April.
I saw a bunch of Mallards, Canadian Geese, American White Pelicans, Ring-Billed Gulls, Snow Geese, a probable million strong European Starling flock (it took 10-15 minutes for a continous overflight of them to pass), and much more.
